Who We Are

Welcome to Thrive. We are a non-denominational church located in a movie theater downtown Altus, Oklahoma. We are passionate about creating a space for exploring faith, growth, family, relational healing, and building up the next generation of leaders. Whether you are far from God, not sure about church, or a lifetime follower of Christ, this is the place for you. Our desire is to help you take your next steps with Christ, to have fun along the way, and experience a place to call home.  T-shirt, jeans, sandals or dressed up

Josh & Stephanie Haught, along with their four children, came to Thrive Church in 2021 to be a local support from Apostolic Teams International (ATI). After serving Thrive Church, teaching and pastoring, they were officially ordained as lead pastors in May 2022. The Haughts have a passion to see every believer grow into their ministry and purpose in Christ. They have a great love for people and a desire to see lives healed, families restored and believers walk out a personal relationship with Christ.

FOUNDING PASTORS RICHARD & OPAL CHAPMAN

1991-2021

A black and white photo of the founders of Thrive church. Dick and Opal Chapman.

Richard and Opal Chapman pioneered Altus Christian Fellowship in 1991 which re-launched in 2020 as Thrive Church. They established a body of believers geared towards family, growth and relationships while reaching into the community to lead and transform lives to be like Jesus. The foundations they laid are still a vital part of who we are at Thrive. Richard Chapman retired from this earth in 2020. Opal now enjoys time with their 6 daughters, wonderful son in laws and amazing grandchildren full-time.
